Let’s start with the regular ‘Add Media’ button
Then we’ll move on to the Media Screen.
You can select the main site, or you can select to pull an image from one of the sub sites as well.
Then select where you’d like the image placed:
And, of course, it works w/ the current Woo as well.
The screenshots are pretty basic. What I should probably do is make a screenshot of the hosting account. Then that’d show the amount of storage I saved by using this plugin! ~HA!!
The main point of this was that we needed Network Shared Media to work for Featured Images and WooCommerce – not just in the content area. Now think about that for a second. Are you gonna put an image in the content area of your post? Well, perhaps. You can have YouTube videos, text, and just text in the content area. But what are you always going to have in the Featured Image area? Well, … an Image! 🙂
Same goes for WooCommerce as well. The content area for a product is almost always going to have text. So if you’re using WooCommerce in multisite, then you will always need to put images in ~ not just the featured image ~ but the product images as well.
Featured Images and WooCommerce is the main reasons this plugin was made.
And, I hope the screenshots help as well!
